Once the POS terminal is returned to the factory for maintenance and other sales, it is necessary to master how to use it. Following the safe using principle of cash register is the premise to ensure the normal use, so how should we do?
- Choose a smooth and non-vibrating table to place the cash register.
- The cash register should be located in a place that avoids direct sunlight, little temperature change, far away from water and less dust.
- Please keep the cash register away from strong electromagnetic field.
- In areas or stores with poor power grid quality, a regulated power supply should be provided to supply separate power to the cash register.
- Please pay attention to use the same power supply voltage as indicated on the nameplate behind the chassis, otherwise the machine will be seriously damaged or unable to work. Cash register had better nottoshare a socket with other high-power frequent start electrical appliances, such as refrigerator, air conditioning. Power sockets should also be located near the cash register and easy to plug in, so that the power can be cut off as quickly as possible in case of emergency.
- Ensure that the cash register does not contact with any liquid. Once this happens, please unplug the power plug immediately and inform the relevant dealer to deal with it.
- Do not vibrate, shake or beat the cash register vigorously.
- Avoid using the cash register in an environment of too high or too low temperature, and avoid exposing the cash register to strong sunlight or high humidity.
- Do not plug and unplug the live parts and peripherals of the cash register in the live state.
- When cleaning the cash register, please do not use wet rag or chemicals to wipe the body. Such as: gasoline, thinner, etc.
- When the cash register fails, cut off the power supply immediately and stop using it. Do not disassemble or repair without permission.
- If the battery is not replaced properly, it will cause the risk of explosion. Replacements of the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer may only be used. Disposal of used batteries in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Although different POS cash registers have different operating procedures, the requirements for maintenance is basically same. In general, the following aspects should be followed:
- The appearance of the machine should be kept clean and tidy: no items are allowed to be placed on the machine, and it should be waterproof, dust-proof and oil-proof.
- All relevant power transformers and UPS should be opened separately to prevent the equipment from burning out due to excessive temperature.
- 3.The action should be light, especially in the opening and closing of the money box to prevent vibration.
- The connection of the power cord should be safe and fixed. It is not allowed to move the machine and disassemble the internal devices at will.
- After power off, turn it on at least one minute later, do not turn it on and off frequently, check the printing ribbon and printing paper, replace the ribbon and printing paper in time, and keep the printer clean inside.
- 6.Regular cleaning machine: dust removal, stain removal.
- Each store shall designate a special person to take charge of the daily maintenance work, so as to be able to troubleshoot general faults skillfully, change the ribbon in time, and ensure the normal operation of the machine.
- The company will inspect the operation and maintenance of each store from time to time. If there is any violation of the specific operating rules, certain economic penalties will be imposed. Ordinary people for improper use of the machine caused by damage, the cost of repair.
