1. Check the thermal paper.

Thermal printers must use thermal paper, and only the smooth side of the paper can be printed. Here’s a tip: With a slight swipe of your fingernail, the black scratch is on the side of thermal paper that can be printed. In addition, thermal paper also has a expiry date, which need to know it before purchasing. Once it expires, it will lead to no word. To determine whether it is expired or not, also with sharp items under the stroke, no color is out of date.

2. Check the print head.

The thermal printing head needs to produce high temperature in order to make the thermal paper image. At this time, do not directly touch the thermal head with your hand. Otherwise it is easy to get burnt. To determine whether there is a problem with the thermal printing head, you can see whether the handwriting of the printed receipt is fuzzy. If it is, usually the thermal head stained, you can gently wipe it with alcohol sponge. If it is still fuzzy, you need to replace the thermal film.

3. Check the printer platen.

When printing, it is necessary to press the thermal sensitive paper firmly with the help of the roller. If the roller is loose, the thermal printing needle will have bad contact with the thermal sensitive paper and no words will be typed. At this time you can make the boot cover, check whether the roller is pressed to the paper.
